Quartz, Fluorite inclusions
Amborompotsy, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar
5.4 x 1.7 x 1.0 cm.
A very rare specimen from a one-time 2004 find in Madagascar. The find consisted of Quartz crystals containing unique inclusions of blue/purple Fluorite, mostly octahedral or octahedral with cubic modifications. This crystal has been left in its natural, unpolished state and contains numerous Fluorite crystal inclusions and even some “NEGATIVE CRYSTALS”, empty spaces in the shape of Fluorite octahedrons that are no longer there! The Fluorite crystals are a lovely violet color. Don’t miss out on this – it’s been years since this discovery and extensive exploration has yielded no more material.
