A large and quite impressive specimen of Quartz with Pyrite and Sphalerite, from Cavnic, Romania. It features numerous crystals of lustrous tapering Quartz hosting a numerous small clusters of striated golden Pyrite crystals and several groups of dark grey Sphalerite. Very nicely composed and exhibiting attractive, detailed reflections off of the sides of the crystals. Mined about 15 years ago. These mines are now permanently closed, so don't let this one disappear.
